TR

Dates: 16 - 31 May 2013

Mixer ArtLab continues with German artist Denise Winter. She is going to share her production period at Mixer, whilst continuing her works at Manzara Perspectives’ artist studio.

ArtLab is another of Mixer’s key initiatives in solidifying further its relationship with artists. ArtLab offers, this usually unseen aspect of an artist’s production process, to a rotational audience, offering an opportunity to interact with the guest artist, and vice-versa.

In this content, Winter will share her production period and artistic practice with audience, between 16th and 31st of May at Mixer ArtLab. Winter’s installations often incorporate performative and interactive aspects, whilst her photographs features sterile and minimalist elements. The photographs she will take during the two-week period in Istanbul will be presented at Mixer ArtLab side by side with the previous works she made in Germany and Norway.

Winter will make the finale with a performance entitled ‘The Sunset-Soup &Talk’. She is going to present her ArtLab works during a sunset while the guests are enjoying their soup at Mixer Café. Upon graduating from Dresden University Academy of Fine Arts, Winter exhibited her work at various group exhibitions and opened her first solo exhibition SHAPE in 2011. Whilst continuing her master’s degree in Ruhr University Bochum Department of Art History, she also gives photography seminars at Nordic Stage and Studio Institute (NISS) in Oslo.

This project is supported by Manzara Perspectives.
