EVALUATION RESULTS

As a result of the evaluation made by the Mixer team, the artists who will be participated in the Mixer Sessions V exhibition were determined.

Artists:

The applications for the fifth installation of “Mixer Sessions,” which Mixer has been organizing since 2016 in an effort to make art accessible and  guide emerging artists on building their careers, will open in December 2020. “Mixer Sessions V” is holding an open call for fourth year, masters, and Phd students in fine art faculties for an opportunity to show their works through an exhibition.

Applications for “Mixer Sessions V” will start on December 5th, 2020, and end on January 30th, 2021. Evaluation of the applications and the design of the exhibition will be carried out by the Mixer Team, and those who qualify to be exhibited will be announced on Mixer’s official website and social media accounts.

In order to take part, please fill out the application form and send the application file as a single document to info@mixerarts.com, with the title ‘Mixer Sessions IV Application‘ until January 30th, 2021 at 7pm.

Application Condition

  • Applications are open for fourth year, master degree, and doctoral degree students from art faculties and related departments.

  • Being a student in the 2020-2021 academic year.

  • Artists need to apply with their own, original artworks. Artists are responsible for the originality of their artworks.   

  • Artworks are not limited to any mediums/disciplines.

  • Applications of artists who had won the right to exhibit in prior years will not be evaluated.


Content of the Application File and Points to Consider in Preparation

  • Biography (written in both Turkish and English in the third person)

  • Portfolio (a minimum of 5 and a maximum of 10 artwork images)

  • Artist Statement 

  • Student Certificate

  • Images and statement for the artwork that you want to exhibit. We recommend that you make the subtext about the artwork/series  simple and understandable.

  • All images must be high quality. 

  • The image and tag of the artwork the artist wants to exhibit must be included.

  • The tag information of the artwork needs to be like in the example.

  • Ex: Name of the Artist, Name of the Artwork, Dimensions, Technique (if available, the number of editions), Year. Needs to be written in both Turkish and English. 

  • We ask that Video & Sound Art applications be sent through a web link,WeTransfer, etc.

  • All required documents must be submitted as a single document. The document needs to be in PDF format and not exceed 10MB in size. Documents over 10MB will not be evaluated. 

  • Current email address and phone number should be included in the application form.
